An ordinary man.

Author unknown.

Bruno Schutz, Polish-Jewish writer and graphic artist. Gestapo man Felix Landau describes a situation in which "wild actions" occured in Drohobycz, in which Jews were more or less shot out of hand by German police. Schutz was "protected" by Landau, who liked his drawings and paintings, and commissioned him to decorate part of his residence in the city. However, Landau shot to death the (Jewish) personal dentist of a rival Gestapo operative in the course of a "wild action". The rival, in turn, shot Schutz to death on 19 November, 1942, in an act of revenge on Landau. JR.
