Warsaw, Poland 1944

Saxon Palace seat of the Polish General Staff damaged and later destroyed by German Nazis. Pilsudski Square Warsaw, Poland 1944. Rare color photo made by German soldier after Warsaw Uprising. Original high definiton photos probably ten are today in Warsaw editorial office illustrated magazine "Stolica" (capital city). Few color photos printed in poor quality could be find also in "Stolica" archive number 24/1989 and in one number from seventies. These ten are other color photos from Warsaw 1944 than work by Gerhard Wiechman (16 color photos) located in Historical Museum of Warsaw. Saxon Palace (Palac Saski) was fully destroyed and remained only few arches and columns today with Polish memorial called Tomb of the unknown soldier with eternal flame. All is located near Saxon Garden.
