I just read a rather interesting story about Marlene Dietrich in my online newspaper.In a new biography about M.Dietrich(1901-1992) by the American author Charlotte Chandler,the author writes that according to actor Douglas Fairbanks(1909-2000),Marlene hated the Nazis and from the 1930ties she wished that Hitler would be assassinated.She herself had no clue how she could kill him,she would have no problem to seduce him ,even naked but then where would she hide the murderweapon?So she came up with the idea to use a poisoned hairpin.If she had succeeded... Today we can smile at her naive way of thinking but at the time D.Fairbanks said 'She was a very brave girl and I'm sure she would have been prepared to risk her life.' ;) brummbar
