This photo was taken during the battle for the Moerdijk(Netherlands)bridgehead,not by the PKphotographers but probably a German paratrooper.The machinegun is a Vickers MG with a para feldwebel behind it.According to German records the man could be Feldwebel Hinrich who was sent in the direction of Lochtenburg on the 11th of may to capture the Vickers.The MG was left behind by Dutch soldiers of the 12MC,who fled the area on the 10th seemingly without urgent reason according to official reports.In the German reports of the 7./FJR1 the capture of this weapon and  the feldwebel responsible for it are mentioned .Greetz,brummbar

A fallschirmjäger is helped by a sailor from the Kriegsmarine after a jump over Bjørnfjell, Norway, during the battle of Narvik April 1940. Notice the M35 helmet. Obviously he has jumped with M35 without sustaining neck damage.
