Fregattenkapitän Victor Oehrn

Fregattenkapitän (Frigate Captain resp. Commander) Victor Oehrn was born on October 21, 1907 in Kedabed/Caucasus mountains (Russia). In WW2 he became commander of U 37 (4 missions, 23 vessels sunk), in 1942 he was wounded during an official trip to North Africa and captured by British forces. In November 1943 he returned to Germany within a POW exchange organized by the International Red Cross. Oehrn died on December 26, 1997 in Bonn/Germany.
