Kapitänleutnant JOACHIM SCHEPKE (1912-1941) showing a U-Boot model to a child. Schepke was killed in action when his damaged boat U-100 was rammed by HMS Vanoc on March 17, 1941 south-west of Iceland. With him 37 crew members died, 6 men survived.
