The Face of Hate

LIFE

Joseph Goebbels photographed at the League of Nations in Geneva in 1933. Goebbels expression has a reason to be, he had just found out that the men behind the camera was Alfred Eisenstaedt, a German jew. Alfred later described the moment: "He looked at me with hateful eyes and waited for me to wither. But I didn’t wither. If I have a camera in my hand, I don’t know fear.”. Two years later Alfred Eisenstaedt emigrated to the US were he continued his career as a photographer. His most famous photo is the iconic kiss photo 'V-J Day in Times Square'.
