I came upon a series of 'German troops on the Eastern front' related photo's on fb but alas without any comments.This photo shows a (?) mortar crew but I'm unable to recognise the type.Has anyone an idea of the kind of weapon on this photo?Thanks ;)

Another photo of German troops somewhere east.I don't think the soldiers in white are guards of the Russian pow's.Either they are a group preparing for action or they are going through left behind Russian material.But I'm just guessing since no info is available on this photo
