German NCOs and local young women order lunch, Paris, early Occupation period. I have a vague sense that this is somewhere in the area of Les Invalides - but this is just a vague shadow of having had lunch in the same area, quite some years ago. In the early period of the Occupation, Paris was perhaps the ultimate rest and recreation location for German soldiers. Later, this sort of convivial social event would become rather more problematic for uniformed Germans. JR.
