General Otto Remer ?early 1945. As Major Remer, commander of the Wachtsbatallion "Grossdeutschland" (which supplied the Heer guard for Berlin's government district), Remer had taken a key role in putting down the Berlin end of the "July Plot" attempted coup against Hitler. This is a posed, postcard-style photo. Under magnification, it clearly shows that he is wearing the Suttern-style "Grossdeutschland" cuff title. Best regards, JR.
