Machine gun position

Officers of the Ordungspolizei check the shopping bags of women in what may be a food line of some sort, Poland.  The officer on the right displays the portly build that must have been common among older, lower tier Orpo men at this date.  The younger man on the left appears to be wearing the lightish brown cuff facings of the Gendarmerie (German rural police) rather than the darker Schupo facings more usually seen.  Best regards, JR.
