German Forces
Germans party with Norwegian women in the small town of Drøbak. The handsome German occupation soldiers were despite all odds very popular amongst Norwegian women, and 12 000 "tyskerbarn" with German father and Norwegian mother was born during the war. The women were treated badly by their compatriots after the war, and the children themselves were treated as unwanted imbeciles by the Socialist government. The singer Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad from the Swedish band ABBA was a tyskerbarn, and her mother had to flee Norway after the war.
