Ordinary people.

Diary of Felix Landau/Yad Vashem

Mass grave at Drohobycz, waiting to be filled. The Drohobycz ghetto and labour camp were the scenes for a number of "deportations" and mass shootings of varying scale, exercised by German security forces, between 1941. Jews in the ghetto/camp initially thought that they were relatively safe, as their labour was employed in the essential oil industry. However, in the end, almost all were shot in "special operations" or deported for murder elsewhere. JR.
