Tethered Greyhounds.

Officers of the 116th Panzer Division ("Greyhound Division) taken PoW by US Army in the collapse of the Ruhr Pocket, on or about 18 April, 1945. The officer in Panzer Black wearing the Knight's Cross is Oberstleutnant Heinz-Gunther Guderian, Operations Officer of the "Greyhound" and son of Generaloberst Heinz Guderian. Heinz-Gunther Guderian subsequently served in the postwar Bundeswehr, rising to the rank of Generalmajor and occupying the position of Inspector of Panzer Troops, an appointment occupied by his father in WW2.
