Spring 1944: on way to Rome through the Ciociaria, at Esperia, a small town of Southern Latium, the American troops encounter a German graveyard: another mark of the fierce combats taken by Allied forces against the strong German defence during the battle for Rome, with heavy loss for both the parties.
