General Eduard von Lewinski, photographed in 1904, with his five living sons including, at his left shoulder, 14 year old cadet Erich von Manstein, Lewinski's biological son and adopted son of his in-laws, the von Mansteins.  Erich's adoption was, clearly, a very open family arrangement.  How these various poeple addressed each other (Father, brother, cousin, brother ...?) is not, as far as I know, recorded.
