Airmen of the Luftwaffe - German Air Force - in formation, shown on this undated photo. The officer on the right is Mathias Zerwas (related to my wife). He was shot down (circumstances not known) over or around Budapest, Hungary and buried there in a mass grave for German soldiers.

Undated photo of a young Pvt. Mathias Zerwas - relative of wife's side. In the spring of 1945 he would die when his plane was shot down over Budapest, Hungary and is buried in a mass grave with approx. 6000 German soldiers at the outskirt of Budapest.
