Paul Maitla 27.03.1913 - murdered 10.05.1945 by Czech partisans. He was an Estonian military commander and one of the four Estonian soldiers who received the Knight's Cross. He received his award for leading the recapture of the central hill of Blue Mountains during the Battle of Tannenberg Line, effectively braking the Soviet offensive in that sector.
