A German 	Feldwebel of a (Sturm-)Pionier-Bataillone is sitting among (a defensive position in) the ruins of Stalingrad. The date is October-November, 1942 (maybe during Operation Hubertus). He is armed with a PPSh-41 submachine gun, which was a much better weapon than the MP 40 submachine gun, especially in the brutal street or house to house fighting. (By Bazooka Joe)
