German Forces

A real German hero.

John Rabe (1882-1950), moving force behind the Nanking Safety Zone (1937-1938). He used his Nazi Party membership to help save, perhaps hundreds of thousands of Chinese citizens from massacre by the Imperial Japanese forces. Little thanks he got for it, at least in his native country. JR
