Oddly enough, the people were cheering, which I have a hard time understanding, considering their country was just invaded for no reason at all... A German Propaganda truck at the border to France in 1939, shortly after the French declaration of war towards Germany. The Germans sent over messages such as 'Why do you fight us?' or 'We won't shoot first!'. This was mainly to delay the French while Hitler had to delay the Invasion of France because of the higher than expected losses in Poland.
