A German infantryman seemingly setting up an ambush in the summer of 1944. I think the attachment on his Karabiner 98k rifle looks like a grenade launcher (don't know the correct German term for it, something with "-becher", I think), it seems too thick for a silencer.

A German infantryman carrying a StG44 and a Ghillie-hat in what I believe to be late summer 1944. First time I've seen this kind of hat worn by a German Wehrmachtsoldaten.
