SS-Hauptsturmführer Amon Göth (born December 11, 1908 in Vienna/Austria, executed September 13, 1946 in Krakow/Poland). Camp commandant of Concentration Camp Płaszów. It's told that the &quot;Butcher of Płaszów&quot; killed about 500 inmates by his own hands. During his execution the hangmen miscalculated the length of the rope twice, the third attempt was successful.
