An Sd.Kfz.252 (leichte Gepanzerte Munitionskraftwagen) - light armored ammunition carrier.- has been designated to accompany a Sturmgeschütz (or StuG), - on the left - meaning "assault gun". In this photograph the half-track on the right, has pulled alongside a late variant StuG.III  with its long barrelled 75mm gun. One of the crew can be seen drinking from his canteen during a routine stop.
