German soldiers watching from a distance their convoy burn as the result of an attack by Allied aircraft. One of them - in the Kubelwagen - is cautiously watching the sky; Late summer, early fall 1944.

Convoy burning

This vehicle was equipped with a 20mm anti aircraft cannon.  It had a 6 cyl. engine which could reach a top speed of 42km/h.  These were popular with the 12th SS in Normandy.  Also issued to the 1st & 2nd SS Panzers, Panzer Lehr, and many other units.
