PzKpfw I, complete with improvised tree-bough camo, completes crossing of a Polish river, September, 1939. Camouflaging tanks with bits of tree seems to have been a common practice in the panzer divisions taking part in the early campaigns of WW2. British prisoners in France also recall encounters with tree-shrouded panzers moving towards the front as they were shepherded to the rear. Best regards, JR.
