Production line for the PzKpfw VI Tiger I at the Henschel Works, 1944. Manufacturing and assembling these complex, temperamental monsters was a good deal more complex and laborious than producing, say, a Model T Ford. Consequently, notwithstanding the impression of a standard mass production line, this assembly process had as much in common with a craft process as with standard mass production. Best regards, JR.
