The wreck of an Italian made SP gun used by German troops in the ruins of Medicina, near Bologna, during the fierce clashes of the final phases of the Italian Campaign, April 1945. The SP, belonged to the Fallschirmjäger-Brigade Sturmgeschütz XI, is the Ansaldo Semovente da 105/25 largely employed after the Italy’s surrender, September 1943, by the German forces as Sturmgeschütz M43 mit 105/25 853(i) in Italian Campaign and in the Balkans. A part those former Italian Army seized after the Italy’s armistice, many SP of this type, 91 according Ansaldo, was produced for the Germany Army. Victor Sierra
