The remains of a retreating Germans mechanized column likely raided by the Allied air forces on the way from Finale Emilia to Ferrara, in Emilia, nearer to Po Valley during the final phases of the Italian Campaign, late April 1945. Note on the let a self-propelled gun Sturmgeschütz M43 mit 105/25 853, name assigned to the Italian Semovente da 105/25 "Bassotto" (Bassett) employed by the German Army. Few exemplars of this SP was captured after the Italy’s armistice (8 September 1943), while the large part was produced by Ansaldo for the German Army. The burned vehicle on the right seem a Luftwaffe’s truck (the plate seem LH). Victor Sierra
