German Armored Forces & Vehicles
This massive tank had little value to the German Army other than one of propaganda. This machine represented an early attempt to create a heavy tank for service with the new Wehrmact, but it was cumbersome and slow, and did not fit in with the Blitzkrieg (lightning war) tactics then being developed by the Germans. Only six of these tanks were produced, three of which were used in the invasion of Norway in April, 1940. When it was deployed to Norway its sheer weight caused problems. It was armed with a 75mm gun, a 37mm gun, and 3 7.92 mgs. (scanned by HOS Bandit)
