Ferdinand Porsche standing next to the original tank that he designated the "Tiger"Because of production problems and the impatience of the German High command the chassis was canceled.The project was handed over to the Henschel company. The unused chassis `were later used (at Hitler`s insistence) on the Fedinand and Elefant tank destroyers.
