Tankers of the 14. Panzer-Division, in the Soviet Union, in 1942 / 1943. Possibly the picture was taken before the Battle of Stalingrad. They can be close to the city itself... At that time (in the good old days, until entering into Stalingrad) there were occasions when the 14., 16. and the 24. Panzer-Divisions were covered long distances, approximately 50-80 kilometers per a day! This could be, because at that time the Soviet Military Command was disorganised, and the soldiers were demoralized due to the continuous retreats. But the Soviet vitory at Stallingrad, was the turning point of World War II. (By Bazooka Joe)
