These photos appear to have been taken in a real-life situation: a shell explodes just next to the tank and the infantry throw themselves to the ground before renewing the assault.

According to the caption published in Signal, these photographs showing infantry moving forward with tanks were taken north of Moscow in the village of Bultchevo. However, the tank seen in photo 3 bears the K of Panzer Gruppe 1 Kleist (alias 1. Pz.Armee) which was operating in the Ukraine at the time. It probably belonged to 11 Pz.Div., a unit withdrawn from Pazer-Gruppe 1 in October and engaged in the Battle of Moscow as part of XXXXVI Pz.K. Panzer-Gruppe 4.
