Junkers Ju 52 floatplanes of the Luftwaffe’s LuftTranspost Staffel (See) 1 in a supply mission over the Aegean during the German operations against the Italians and British troops in the Aegean islands of Kos and Leros on Autumn 1943. Kos was occupied o 3 October 1943 and three days later 103 Italian soldiers was killed, after their surrender, by the German troops. Leros was occupied by the German in the same October after 22 days of fierce resistance of the Italian troops supported by many British and Indian soldiers. Many Italians soldiers was killed by the Germans after the surrender. Victor Sierra
