Seven Luftwaffe’s transport aircraft Junkers Ju 52s flying low over the sea off Corsica, photographed from one of the Bristol Beaufighters which intercepted them. During 23-24 September 1943, Beaufighters of Nos. 325 and 328 Wings of the North West African Coastal Air Force destroyed nearly 30 German transport aircraft which were attempting to evacuate their garrison on Corsica to Italy.
