While Dutch civilians survey the scene from Maaskade on Noordereiland, a Heinkel He59 seaplane taxies upstream to make for the Willems Bridge. One of the attack first victims was Ben Raes, a Dutch policeman that tried to arrest the group that landed at the Ooster quay. Photo taken around 6.30 a.m. (4.30 a.m. Dutch time), 10th May 1940.

Taking the Willems bridge

The Junkers Ju 90V-8 in an unknown airfield. The Stammkennzeichen DJ+YE isn’t easy readable because the overall dark green finish. The photo highlight the loading ramp lowered with step incorporate upon which the airplane rest when on the ground. Clearly visible also the upper turret and the tail turret adopted by the V-8 the only Ju 90 with defensive armament. Notice also some stepladder for the ramp inspection. Victor Sierra
