Abandoned Me262A Jet Fighter-Bomber

An abandoned Me262A jet fighter-bomber, found by the US Army in a wood near Frankfurt in the spring of 1945. A 250 kg bomb and some 30mm ammunition lie on the ground under the wings, together with parts of the engine cowlings; but the jet engines have been removed to avoid capture. texag57
