Oberstleutnant Josef "Pips" Priller (27.07.1915 – 20.05.1961), fighter ace holder KC with Oak Leaves and Swords. Flew 1307 combat missions to claim 101 victories. All his victories were recorded over the Western Front, and consisted of 11 USAAF heavy bombers, 68 Spitfires (the highest Luftwaffe ace's tally for these aircraft), 11 Hurricanes, 5 medium bombers, and 5 USAAF fighters.

Heinz-Wolfgang "The Night Ghost Of St. Trond" Schnaufer (16.02.1922 – 15.07.1950) highest scoring night fighter ace in the history of aerial warfare. Credited with shooting down five or more enemy aircraft during aerial combat. All of his 121 aerial victories were claimed at night, mostly against British four-engine bombers. He received the highest military award KC with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds.

Erich "Fighter of Libau" Rudorffer (1.11.1917 -), fighter ace, holder KC with Oak Leaves and Swords who served through the whole of WWII. Flew over 1000 missions, claim 224 aerial victories, was shot down 16 times, and baled out 9 times. 7th most successful fighter pilot in the history of air warfare.
