About 50 rockets had been launched as tests but they were not used for combat action anymore. Some C-2 were captured by US forces who developed the famous &quot;Nike&quot; AA-rocket on this pattern.

The AA rocket &quot;Enzian&quot; (gentian) was based on the pattern of the jet fighter Messerschmitt Me 163 &quot;Komet&quot;. It was remote-controlled with a joystick but when enclosing a potential target an accustical detonator and infrared aiming-device &quot;Madrid&quot; took over. &quot;Enzian&quot; was not deployed under battle conditions and was turned down in favor of the &quot;Wasserfall&quot; and &quot;Schmetterling&quot; rockets.
