Guieu commanded the SPA 160 Diable Rouge (red devil), 3rd squadron of the Hunting Group II/4. Behind him, the symbol of the squadron, dating back from ww1.
He was shot down and killed on the 7th june 1940. He had himself scored 7 victories.
