Men of 1st platoon, 24th Gun Company (5.Div), credited with destroying 26 enemy tanks using their guns and short range anti-tank weapons. 3 August 1944. Corporal Toivo Ilomäki (sitting on the gun, holding it's optical sight) was later awarded the Mannerheim Cross, Finland's highest military honor, for destroying 21 of those 26 tanks, as the gunner of this particular Pak 40, in June 1944. Nowadays the gun is on display in Parola Armoured Vehicle Museum.
