Arvo Mörö (1914, Kivennapa -1980, Oulu), Knight of the Mannerheim Cross #87.

Served as combat messenger in 3rd Border Company at Karelian Isthmus during the Winter War, and then as patrol leader in long range patrol detachment Vehniäinen of Seperate Battalion 4 (ErP 4) in 1941-1944. His longest patrol lasted for 31 days and reached 120 kilometers behind enemy lines. The Mannerheim Cross (2nd class) was awarded to him on August 31, 1942. After the war he restarted his bus company (A. Mörö Oy) in Oulu, Finland, which he had started in his hometown at Karelian Isthmus before the wars.

Oiva Rönkä (1913, Iisalmi -1983, Kemi), Knight of the Mannerheim Cross #32, photographed in hospital clothes.

He served as rifleman in Seperate Battalion 17 (ErP 17) during Winter War and fought at Salla and Joutsijärvi. In Continuation War he was squad leader in 12th Infantry Regiment, 6th Division, and fought at Kiestinki until he was wounded on August 18, 1941. He was awarded with the Mannerheim Cross (2nd class) on October 22, 1941, for showing remarkable continuous courage and toughness under fire. 

According to the citation he participated in patrol which ambushed and destroyed supply column behind enemy lines and personally destroyed several trucks with their loads and drivers. He also led many successful recon patrols behind enemy lines. Later his squad defended a base from several strong enemy attacks and in the end he was alone to repel the last attack, and killed dozens of enemies with his submachinegun and grenades. Few days later enemy attacked again threatening the positions, but he organized counter-attack, pushed back the enemy, went on and captured strong enemy position. He was seriously wounded while attacking it.

Sauli Kousa (1912, Mäntyharju - 1956, Heinola), Knight of the Mannerheim Cross #65, cleaning his rifle, a captured SVT-40.

He served as leader of machine gun squad in 33rd Infantry Regiment of 11th Division, during the Winter War and fought in Karelian Isthmus. In Continuation War he was squad leader/platoon second-in-command in 22nd Infantry Regiment of 5th Division, until he was wounded at Svir river bridgehead on June 9, 1944. The Mannerheim Cross (2nd class) was awarded to him on July 5, 1942, mainly for his countless successful reconnaissance and combat patrols in 1941. During the war he was also decorated with Cross of Liberty 3rd class (with swords), Medal of Liberty 1st class and 2nd class.
