Bristol Bulldog

Finland had 15 Bristol Bulldogs during the Winter War. The very first aerial victory of Finnish Airforce was achieved on December 1, 1939 when one of the Bulldogs shot down a Polikarpov I-16. During the Winter War the Bristol Bulldogs shot down one more I-16 fighter and four Tupolev SB-2 bombers. One of the Bulldogs was lost. After the Winter War the Bulldog only served as training aircraft and the plane type saw it's last flight in Finnish use on February 22, 1944.
