Finnish Forces
Finnish soldiers move thru rough, wooded terrain in Southern Finland. Veterans of the Winter-War of 1939-40, they were keen to recover the territory lost to the Soviet Union in that heroic but one-sided conflict, but would not press further in the USSR. Scanned by HOS Bandit) This caption came with the photo. I don't know a whole lot about the Winter War between Finland and Russia. But would I have read led me too believe that it wasn't as one-sided as this caption would have you believe. Can anyone expound on that?
