Finish Adaptation

NCY-152

JR. (Finish adaptation, rather than use the skirts, hence only the upper 'log' armour) The Finns bolted additional armour plates to the sides of the lower hull. Photographs indicate that two plates were bolted side by side - one plate between the first and second return rollers, and a shorter plate between the second and third return rollers. Prominent bolts were used to secure each armour plate. Two bolts were used on the top of each plate; with four bolts securing the bottom of the front plate, and three bolts securing the bottom of the shorter rear plate. The armour ran in height from the top of the lower hull to the top of the suspension. Rounded cut-outs in the top corners of the armour were required to avoid the return mounts.
