Ahti Laitinen (1922-1985) served in 3rd Flight, No. 24 Squadron (3./LeLv 24) of Finnish Air Force in 1943-44, and flew 75 sorties scoring 10 confirmed victories. He was shot down by enemy fighter on June 29, 1944, and became POW. He was returned from captivity six months later.
