A dead German soldier, killed during the German counter offensive in the Belgium-Luxembourg salient, is left behind on a street corner in Stavelot, Belgium, on January 2, 1945, as fighting moves on during the Battle of the Bulge.

Republican soldiers shows on the public way the bodies of priests and nuns taken out from the graves of convents and monasteries... The same scenes were repeated all over Spain, first of all in the in the windows of the most elegant shops of Madrid; the original goods just looted and replaced by this new "exposure"... DVX
