This photo shows the butalization of the war on the eastern theater in a cruel way: the body of a Soviet soldier lies flattened in the dirt of the roadway. There was no time or need to recover and bury the body.

In another photo of this section you can see General Anton Dostler's last minutes before his execution. this picture was taken shortly after the deadly shots had been fired. You can see that the bullets left the generals body at the back.
