On January 14-16, 1945, during the breakthrough of enemy defenses at the Magnushevsky bridgehead, Grekov’s battery as part of an assault group crossed Pilitsa, destroyed 10 machine guns, 4 bunkers and a bunker, 2 observation posts, as well as more than 40 enemy soldiers and officers. The actions of the battery contributed to the successful crossing of the river by rifle units.
