Fu Zuoyi (June 2, 1895 − April 19, 1974) was a Chinese KMT commander during WW2. He started his career in the army of the warlord Yen Hsi-shan, who was loyal to the KMT. Fu Zuoyi served during the Northern Expedition, but participated later also in the failed coup against Chiang Kai-Shek during 1929 and 1930. In the thirties, Fu Zuoyi resisted against several Japanese incursions from Manchukuo. Especially during the Suiyuan Campaign 1936 he was very successful. After the official outbreak of the war, Fu Zuoyi kept leading troops against the Japanese in numerous engagements, for example in the Battle of Wuyuan, in which the Chinese troops could defeat the Japanese. ------------------------------ Evillittlekenny
